A permanent green sward in a hot, arid country — and no drip-feeding after the first six weeks.
The use of Zander products on golf courses is well documented. Even in hot, arid countries a permanent green sward can be achieved.
Building the profile
The substratum is prepared according to the usual rules. In the Gulf the top layer is the sweet sand layer, and is added to it at a rate of one part humus to four parts sweet sand. The firming-in operation that follows is vitally important. Grass seed is then sown.
— in a preparation that includes expanded clay and Zander humus — is carefully sprinkled onto the grass seed. The mycorrhized seed is anchored down with sand so that it can be watered with a fine spray. Two weeks later the young grass is watered with at the usual dilution.
